The Baffle Step Calculator combines near-field woofer and port measurements to create an anechoic-equivalent response. Enter the baffle width and height to calculate the speaker’s diffraction response. Then import the woofer’s near-field frequency response. For ported enclosures, import the port’s near-field response and adjust its gain to match the diffraction-corrected woofer response.The tool then merges the corrected woofer and port responses, providing a combined response for further analysis and crossover design.
